Article: Don-t-Give-Up-On-Your-Internet-Marketing-Dream
Just today I was told by a friend of mine quit chasing that cardboard submarine you've been chasing since you were a young boy. Let me explain when I was in Elementary school quite a few years ago my next-door neighbor friend Steve and I seen in the back of this comic book a submarine.
It was in every comic book that you bought back in those days along with alot of other neat stuff like x-ray specs and joy buzzers where you could shock your friends when you shook hands and all that stuff.
Now I had made my mind up to get this sub because Steve and I had decided it was the coolest. We could take it to the city swimming pool and just have all kinds of fun. You see we thought according to the pictures and the sales copy this thing actually could go in the water and the little battery motor would propel us around under water just like a real sub.
Keep in mind the ad clearly stated this sub was made of sturdy fibreboard construction. My thinking was this new fibreboard stuff must really be something if it could go underwater for hours of enjoyment like the ad and pictures claimed.
So I saved my money from selling greeting cards, American seeds, Cloverine Salve and delivering papers for what seemed like a year and finally after a couple of months there was enough money saved to get my much anticipated mini submarine.
After about 4 weeks this large package arrived for me it was my submarine so I tore into the package and started pulling the pieces out that also came with a set of assembly instructions to put it all together.
Looking over at Steve, I told him this isn't the sturdy fibreboard or what they said was being sent this is cardboard you can't put that in water. Frantically I grabbed the instructions thinking surely a mistake had been made but right there in bold block letters the words Sturdy Fibreboard were at the top of those instructions.
I'll never forget it my heart sank and I told Steve this is just stinking cardboard some sort of playhouse for kids. Steve busted out laughing and he laughed until he cried, I on the other hand was very upset and shocked at what was found. I told him he could have it and walked away from my submarine and never touched it again.
Years later back in the college days my friend Steve said hey do you remember our submarine and we both busted out laughing thinking back about that new sturdy fibreboard.
Since the years have gone by I've told this story to several other friends and was even reminded of that submarine today by one of those friends.
Getting to Internet Marketing for the last year I've really been working hard trying to sell affiliate programs writing articles setting up websites buying domains buying courses, ebooks, hours upon hours at the computer.
Out of everyone all my friends and all of my family not one person supports my dream of making it on the Internet. I'm very much alone in pursuing my Internet dream.
To top it off I read just yesterday somewhere one of the guru's Alex Mandossian himself said, “To make it on the Internet you either have to buy your way in or earn your way in.”
Well Alex if you said that here is my answer to you and anyone else that wants to know. I can't buy my way in so move over I'm going to earn my way in!!!!
Let me explain the drive behind my motivation. My Mother is 80 years old she retired in her sixties and has had to work since her retirement to supplement her social security and pension. I want with all of my heart for her to never have to work again for the rest of her life.
The desire of my heart is to be able to help make this happen. Not only for her but others also. When I read and see what’s happening to folks that retire I get angry and you should too.
This is why that I continue with no support from anyone. I'm determined and persistent even when everyone and everything seems to stand in the way. If others can do it, well then so can I! Move over marketers and make room for one more Smiley Webb is on the way! Keep on going and never give up one day you will find everything will fall in place!
