Article: There-Is-No--I--In-Network-Marketing

Many are familiar with the phrase "There is no I in Team," but can the same be said for becoming successful in a legitimate network marketing program? Putting aside the obvious fact that the letter "I" does does exist in the word marketing, discussing the factors to avoid isolating yourself within a network marketing program can only increase the number of referrals you make and improve the quality of each referral as well.

Most programs that involve recruiting others into a matrix or a down line will provide you with a set of tools or products to use to help promote your program. These could be pre-written sales letters, banner advertisements or any number on online promotional products. Though many of these tools are designed to make your promoting easier, relying on them solely will probably lead to your disappointment and isolation from the very audience you are trying market.

The trick is to utilize the tools provided, but do not hide behind them. Implement a few strategies to keep yourself in front of those tools and your chance of success will increase drastically.

Introduce Yourself:

Let potential members see who you are! Add your style to the ads, and make sure to leave a contact email address or even a phone number for interested members to contact you. Potential clients will feel much more comfortable being in touch with a human being rather than a mass generated web page.

Have Them Introduce Themselves:

If you get to know the people interested in joining your network, you have a much better chance of gaining a real working team. Run an ad that asks an interested member a specific question and give them the chance to answer it. This can be done by pointing them to a form on your website, providing an email address or a phone number to call - you'd be surprised as to how excited others really are about finding success. Once you open a dialogue with someone, you can determine if they are a good match for your program.

Be Picky:

Many feel that the more you people refer into a program, the more successful you will be. The truth is, quality is much better than quantity in the long run. If you have handpicked your members and have the communication lines open to help them succeed as much as you have, your team will produce much better results than a large, overrun team with no guidance or direction.

Remain the Leader:

If the members of your down line are alone and frustrated, the only thing you will achieve is sky-high drop out rates and dwindling new recruits. New members are vulnerable. Set a goal to contact your down line at least once a week (or more) and follow up with their progress. If you see a particular member faltering, put even more emphasis there. Do not look at this as babysitting but keep in mind that if a person is mentored properly, they will eventually prosper and benefit the entire team.

Many network marketing programs try to automate the recruitment process to make it easier for people to join and put their plan into action. While this is necessary to allow individuals from all skill levels to participate, remember that the program itself is not what people are joining, they are joining a team to find success. Place yourself at the forefront of that team and you never regret your choice to find wealth online.
